Six Week Physician Led Program

The Recovery Protocol.

A structured six week program that supports your body through the healing window after surgery or a procedure, using modalities studied for circulation, swelling, tissue repair, and comfort.

It runs alongside your surgeon and your physical therapist, never instead of them. Written clearance from your treating surgeon is required before the first session, and our physician team screens every participant.

Before Anything Else

Your surgeon leads. We support.

Recovery after a procedure is a medical process with a plan already attached to it. This programme is built to sit underneath that plan and make the healing window easier, not to redirect it.

Required · Before Session One

Surgeon Clearance

We do not begin until your treating surgeon has cleared you in writing, and we screen every participant before the first session.

  • Written clearance from your treating surgeon
  • Physician screening for contraindications
  • Your procedure and timeline reviewed
  • Protocol adjusted to what you are cleared for
  • Details shared with your surgical team on request
Some people will not be appropriate candidates, and we will say so.
Alongside · Not Instead Of

What This Is Not

Being clear about the boundary matters more here than anywhere else on this site.

  • Not a replacement for physical therapy
  • Not wound care or medical treatment
  • Not a substitute for your surgeon's follow up
  • Not emergency or urgent care
  • Not a promise of any healing timeline
Sessions are frequently scheduled around physical therapy, and many people find that easier.
What Is Included

Seven modalities, sequenced by phase.

Early weeks weight toward circulation, swelling, and comfort. Later weeks shift toward tissue quality and returning to movement. Every session is individualized and subject to clearance.

Physician Led

Screening & Clearance Review

Before Week 1
Required

Our physician team reviews your procedure, timeline, and surgeon clearance, screens for contraindications, and sets which modalities you are cleared for.

Recovery Support Therapy

As indicated
Individualized after review

Nutritional and IV support reviewed against your procedure and history, prescribed only where clinically appropriate and not part of every protocol.

Progress Review

Weeks 3 & 6
Physician led

A checkpoint to confirm you are tolerating the protocol, adjust intensity, and coordinate with your surgeon or therapist where useful.

The Weekly Protocol
Hyperbaric Oxygen

Hyperbaric Oxygen

20 sessions
Three to four weekly · Weeks 1–6

Oxygen delivered under pressure raises the amount dissolved in your plasma. The literature associates this with tissue oxygenation and the body's own repair processes, which is why it anchors this protocol.

FloPresso

FloPresso

6 sessions
Weekly · Weeks 1–6

Sequential pneumatic compression that mimics the body's natural lymphatic pumping, studied for circulation and the movement of post exertion and post procedure swelling.

PEMF Therapy

PEMF Therapy

10 sessions
Twice weekly · Weeks 1–5

Pulsed electromagnetic fields, studied for their influence on cellular membrane potential and circulation. Applied without contact and without interfering with surgical hardware.

Whole-body Photobiomodulation

Whole-body Photobiomodulation

10 sessions
Twice weekly · Weeks 2–6

Red and near infrared wavelengths delivered across the body, studied for their interaction with mitochondrial function and the cellular processes involved in tissue repair.

Molecular Hydrogen

Molecular Hydrogen

6 sessions
Weekly · Weeks 1–6

Inhaled hydrogen, studied as a selective antioxidant and for its role in oxidative balance. Entirely passive, and easily paired with another session.

NanoVi

NanoVi

6 sessions
Weekly · Weeks 1–6

A humidified airflow device studied for its effect on protein folding and the cellular repair processes that follow oxidative stress. You simply sit and breathe normally.

Juvent

Juvent

6 sessions
Weekly · Weeks 3–6

Low magnitude mechanical stimulation delivered through a platform you stand on, studied in the context of musculoskeletal health. Introduced only once you are cleared to bear weight.

Which modalities you receive, and when, depends entirely on your procedure and your surgeon's clearance. Some participants will receive a reduced protocol, and some will not be appropriate candidates at all.
The Programme

Six weeks, phased.

Density is highest early, when swelling and discomfort are usually greatest, then tapers as you move back toward normal activity.

Week 1Cleared Start4 visits

Begin only once written surgeon clearance is on file. Timing varies by procedure and is set by your surgeon, not by us.

Progress Review & Forward Plan
Physician review · recommendation for continuing support, membership, or discharge from the protocol
Commonly Used After

Adjusted to the procedure.

Emphasis and timing change depending on what you had done. In every case the schedule follows your surgeon's clearance rather than a fixed template.

Orthopaedic Procedures

Joint replacement, ligament reconstruction, rotator cuff repair, and fracture fixation. Weight bearing modalities are introduced only once your surgeon clears them.

Cosmetic & Plastic Procedures

Where swelling and comfort dominate the early window, compression and photobiomodulation usually carry more of the protocol.

Abdominal Procedures

Emphasis on circulation, comfort, and a gradual return to movement, with modality selection kept conservative early on.

Dental & Oral Procedures

Shorter protocols are common, with oxygen and light based modalities weighted more heavily than movement based ones.

Expected Progression

What participants may notice.

No healing rate, recovery time, scar outcome, or return to activity is guaranteed. Recovery depends on your procedure, your health status, your surgeon's plan, and your own physiology.

Week 1
  • A structured routine in place
  • Sessions tolerated and confirmed
  • Comfort measures underway
  • Coordination with your surgical team
Weeks 2 – 3
  • Swelling addressed consistently
  • Easier movement within cleared limits
  • A rhythm alongside physical therapy
  • Midpoint physician review
Weeks 4 – 5
  • Better tolerance of activity
  • Movement based sessions introduced
  • Steadier day to day comfort
  • Confidence returning
Week 6
  • Protocol completed
  • Physician review of where you are
  • A forward plan agreed
  • Continuing support if appropriate

Questions

Before you begin.

When can I start after surgery?

That is your surgeon's decision, not ours. Timing varies considerably by procedure. We require written clearance before the first session and will not begin without it, however keen you or we are to start.

Does this replace physical therapy?

No, and it is not designed to. It runs alongside physical therapy and your surgeon's follow up. Many people schedule sessions around their therapy appointments, and we will work with that.

Will you speak to my surgeon?

Yes, on request. We can provide your surgical team with the protocol details so they can see exactly what is planned, and we adjust it if they want anything changed or removed.

Is this safe with surgical hardware?

Modality selection depends on your specific situation and is confirmed during physician screening. Anything not appropriate for you is removed from your protocol. This is exactly what the screening step exists to determine.

How fast will I recover?

We will not give you a number, and we would be cautious of anyone who does. Recovery depends on your procedure, your health, your surgeon's plan, and your own physiology. This programme supports the process rather than promising a timeline.

What if my surgery was several weeks ago?

Still worth a conversation. Tissue remodelling continues well beyond the first weeks, and the protocol can be adjusted to where you actually are rather than assuming a start point.

What if I am not a good candidate?

We will tell you plainly and you will not be charged a programme fee. Some procedures, health conditions, and stages of recovery are not appropriate for these modalities, and saying so is part of doing this properly.

What happens after Week 6?

You receive a physician review and a forward plan. That may be continuing support, a membership, or simply discharge from the protocol if you no longer need us.

A conversation with our team about your procedure, your surgeon's plan, and whether this protocol is appropriate for you. In it we will:

  • Understand your procedure and where you are in recovery
  • Explain what clearance we need from your surgeon
  • Screen for anything that would rule a modality out
  • Schedule sessions around your physical therapy
  • Tell you honestly if this is not right for you

Written clearance from your treating surgeon is required before any session begins. The Recovery Protocol is a supportive wellness and recovery program delivered alongside your surgical and rehabilitation care. It does not replace your surgeon, physical therapy, wound care, prescribed medication, or any medical treatment, and it is not emergency care.

Services are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Individual results vary and depend on the procedure performed, your health status, adherence, and your surgeon's plan. No specific healing rate, recovery time, scar outcome, pain level, or return to activity is guaranteed. Some participants will not be appropriate candidates.
